Bubbles with the proto-type chipset. It doesnt allow for knocking sponges or brushes into the drain for the red 2000 points,
no matter how BIG the bubble gets. I have my Bubbles game set for proto-type chip play or standard play. I duplexed a standard board

Cool page! This keeps alive a game that made us happy during our childhood (and adult life also).
I saw Bubbles a couple of times in the arcade when I was a kid but never got to play it (more than 10 years ago). Then it dissappeared forever!
A week ago I was told this game was emulated in MAME. Cool! At last I could play it. I find it a VERY original and interesting concept.
My congratulations to the designers also.

I was doing a search for Bubbles and I found your site! I thought I was the only person who ever cared about that game much less remembered it! It was only in our neighborhood bowling alley (Azalea Bowl in Richmond, Va) for a few months but it (and vs. ic climber) quickly became favorite breaks from the summer sun outside. I didn't know it was a Williams game even...I've never seen another Bubbles machine...Well, anyway, great site and thanks for existing! best wishes, Ian

I love Bubbles. It was my favorite game. I would play if for hours. My favorite is the ant wave. I would sit under the drain, at the drain's edge and wiggle back and forthslightly while all the ants came out and I could rack up the points.
I was very good. The man who emptied the coin drawer always knew when I played because (while I was learning how to play and went through many quarters) the coin box was sometimes 3/4 full.

Are these games rare.
When did you buy yours?
I really envy you having a working machine. It must make you very happy.

Bubbles was my favorite game when it came out. It took me 14 years to find one and when I did, I had to do a 20 hour drive (total) to get it.
My highest score back in '82 was 27,779,820 pts. I played for 10 1/2 hours!
